I became politically aware at age 8, when watching a debate between Michael Dukakis and George H.W. Bush. I remember thinking, “He’s talking, but not saying anything.” By age 14, Rush Limbaugh (and classical movie scores) were standard listening.
Five years in politics, four children, three cats, a dog, and a great husband later, I’ve organized some of the largest Tea Party training conferences in the nation; educating activists in media, grassroots, and campaign tools. My favorite work within the Tea Party was building a citizen journalist corps and training program, giving one-on-one media scrutiny to members of Congress.
Hosting “The Brazen 3” internet radio program with my sisters was fascinating; together we led conservative political talk show ratings on Blog Talk Radio for two years.
As an editor, I loved shaping conservative ideas in the world of fiction with “The Discord Trilogy.” I have appeared on Fox Business, MSNBC, NPR and Yale College Radio to advance the ideas of restrained government and financial sanity. I’ve had the opportunity to serve in my church as a public affairs specialist; and also volunteer at a no-kill, cage-free cat shelter near Atlanta Georgia, because cats.
